Daniel Y. Harris & Irene Koronas, Afflicted by Order (Excerpt from Di./um)

Afflicted by Order

Afflicted by order the minimalist disease,
we leave for the sanatorium or the amygdale
reading jean rhys wide sargasso sea blurred

by psychosis, cross legged bent clime of dulant
coiffure, a final sublime for which death is a trope,
a rose terebinth plumeria setting rapture fire

to make a sick stint rescrupled, a craftsmans acid
tongues clotted as the final imp of our skinsuits
creating signs to a life caked in ash and brain pulp.
